Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) was established in 1988 and is a low-cost carrier based in Pasay, Philippines. The airline operated flights to domestic destinations in the Philippines and international destinations across 14 countries. The airline covers a total of 60 domestic and international destinations. The airline operates flights from two primary hubs in Cebu and Manila. The secondary hubs are Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Iloilo, Kalibo and Zamboanga.
It is Asia’s oldest low-cost airline. It is the main low-cost airline in the Philippines and now it has become the country’s largest airline based on the number of passengers flown. The airline’s first flight was from Manila to Cebu and It began with 24 domestic flights daily. In 2016, the airline became a founding member of the low-cost carrier alliance called the Value Alliance. The airline allows booking tickets with all of the 8 alliance members. Collectively the alliance serves over 160 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cebu Pacific Air fleet consists of 65 aircraft: 9 Airbus A320 neo, 17 Airbus A320-200, 10 Airbus A321 neo, 6 Airbus A321-200, 2 Airbus A330-300, 4 Airbus A330-900 and 17 ATR 72. The airline aims to replace its existing aircraft with new fuel-efficient aircraft by 2028. It wants to shift to more fuel-efficient neo-engine aircraft. Passengers can carry each piece of checked-in baggage of 20 kg or 32 kg. Passengers can check in 2 pieces of these weight options with a combined weight not exceeding 64 kg. Any excess in the piece, weight or size will be charged. If any baggage weight exceeds 32 kg then it will not be allowed by the airline due to international health and safety regulations.
Every passenger can carry one piece of cabin luggage of up to 7 kg. The dimensions of the cabin luggage should not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23 cm.
